According to the chairman of the company, Nar Bahadur Rana, the microbus had left for Kathmandu without any ticketing from the counter and picked up passengers along the road. Witnesses have reported that there were 17 people on board, including the driver and co-driver, Rana informed Republica.

The microbus that had left Chitwan for Kathmandu on Friday has also not been found, and the driver and co-driver are also out of contact," said the company's Chairman Rana. "Relatives of the missing passengers are also calling, and we suspect it may have been buried in the area where landslides occurred, so we are heading that way," Rana added.

Due to the lack of ticketing from the counter, the business owners stated that they are unable to confirm the number of missing passengers. The police mentioned that the landslide is quite large and that they are finding bodies one after another during the rescue operation, making it difficult to assess how many vehicles and passengers may be buried in the landslide debris.
