Martyrs' families stage sit-in

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Martyrs Families and victims of the Janandolan staged a sit-in protest at the Gate No. 3 of the Prime Minister´s official residence at Baluwatar, and tried to disrupt the Prime Minister´s movement on Wednesday.



They staged the sit-in protest for around one hour at 8:00 am to 9:00 am, demanding to implement past agreements done with the Martyrs´ families and the victims of the Janaandolan, form a commission for necessary arrangement for them, and disrupted the movement for the Prime Minister for around 10 minutes.[break]



Police have taken 10 activists, who disrupted the traffic, under control.



On the occasion, chairman of the Martyr Pratik Memorial Center Nepal, JB Dhaulakoti demanded to bear all the expenses for the treatment of the victims of Janaandolan and reinstate those who are separated from their families.



Chairman of the Concerned Committee of the Martyrs´ Families and the Injured, Meghraj Acharya warned of stern protests if the government turns deaf ear towards their demands.
