KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) has issued instruction to party’s sister wings and lower level units to stop all  sort of “anarchist” activities. The instruction came a day after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal reiterated his commitment to end YCL’s paramilitary structure, take action against those involved in anarchist activities and return property captured by Maoists to rightful owners.

“We have issued strict instruction to the party’s wings and units to end such activities,” said Barsha Man Pun, a member of the party’s secretariat. He said the attack on CPN-UML cadre in Nuwakot was also against the party’s policy and those involved would be punished.

The secretariat meeting also decided to unite the party with CPN (Unity Center-Masal), hold a joint meeting Sunday and announce the merger on Tuesday.
