GORKHA, Sept 26: The renowned Masaslu trek route in Gorkha, which remains blocked since the massive earthquake of April 25 last year, will now be reopened.
The District Development Committee (DDC) has dispatched a technical team with District Technical Office engineer, Lal Bahadur Gurung, and members of the Political Consultation Committee to reopen the route from Seti area of Thumi to Sardibas VDC before the beginning of the Bada Dashain festival.
"We have allocated Rs 5 million for reopening the trek route," DDC Planning and Administrative Official, Satish Kumar Bhattarai said, adding "We will use local manual workers to open the trek route soon." RSS
