According to Metropolitan Police Range Maharajgunj, two sharp weapons used by the assailants were recovered from the scene. “We could hopefully identify the culprits by the evening,” said an investigative official.
INDIAN NATIONAL DIES IN ACCIDENT
An Indian national was killed in a road accident at Lalpur of Kanchanpur district Sunday night.
Motorcyclist Ambasar Quresi died on the spot when his motorcycle (UK 036837) collided with a Mahendranagar-bound jeep (Se 1 Pa 47) at Lalpur in Suda VDC along the East-West Highway.
Quresi, who was doing business in Galli No 1 of Mahendranagar, died on the spot after sustaining critical head injury, according to chief of Mahendranagar Ward Police Office Mandev Joshi. His body has been sent to Mahakali Zonal Hospital for post-mortem.
ONE KILLED IN CHAUTARA ACCIDENT
A person died on a spot and five injured in a truck accident at Pokarebesi of Sagachowk VDC in Sindhuli Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Padam Prasad Aryal, 47, of Sagachowk VDC-9. Among the injured, one is said to be in critical condition.
The truck (Ba 1 Kha-6012) was heading to Kathmandu. The accident took place due to break failure, according to the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk.
The police said the injured persons are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre.
