SAPTARI, Dec 4: Police have rounded up a person on the alleged charge of raping and swindling a woman of thousands of rupees in the district.
According to the Distrit Police Office, Saptari, Manoj Kumar Mehato of Chhinna Masta rural municipality-5, Lokharam, was arrested on Sunday.

“Mehato will be charged under rape and fraud case,” said DSP Bhabesh Rimal.
Mahato is also the treasure of Rastriya Janata Party (RJP).
The victim has accused Mehato of taking Rs 1.050 million in different times by promising her that he would help relese her husband who is serving a jail-term in Rajbiraj.
