Man eater tiger caged

CHITWAN, May 4: Officials of the Chitwan National Park (CNP) have taken a man eater tiger under control  from the Kumroj buffer zone community forest in eastern Chitwan.

CHITWAN, May 4: Officials of the Chitwan National Park (CNP) have taken a man eater tiger under control  from the Kumroj buffer zone community forest in eastern Chitwan.



CNP’s Information Officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari said the tiger was caged after it killed a person on May 1. The officials were making efforts to cage the tiger for a long time but this time the tiger was taken under control by mobilizing additional forces. The tiger of around 10 years is caged on the premises of the Sauraha-based National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) office.

Tiwari shared that further decisions would be taken after observing the man eater tiger for some days. 


According to Tiwari, as many as 12 persons lost their lives in the past one year in tiger attacks in the national park and forest areas.
