Man charred to death at Jhapa-based NOC office

JHAPA, Dec 12: A youth was burnt to death on the premises of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) office based at Duhagadhi-4 in Jhapa district on Friday night.

Police said that Jaya Bahadur Baduwal, 28, of Dhankuta district was found lying unconscious in the burnt condition at around 8:30 last night in a wooden room on the premises of the NOC office.


Police Inspector Subash Budhathoki of Area Police Office, Dhulabari, said that the doctors of the Mechi Zonal Hospital pronounced Baduwal dead soon after he was rushed to the hospital.

However, security guard at the NOC office, Chandra Kanta Das, said that he was not aware of the time when Baduwal entered the office premises on Friday.

Baduwal was working as a helper for the NOC fuel carrying tankers until one and a half years ago. Police said that investigations into the case were underway. RSS
