KAILALI, May 24: Police arrested a 26-year-old man for impersonating an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) and committing fraud in Dhangadhi.



A team from the temporary police post at the Bus Park arrested Nirajan Thapa, a resident of Shivnagar, Dhangadhi-5, after locals reported his suspicious behavior.

According to the District Police Office Kailali, Thapa defrauded Mohan Singh Dhami, the operator of Dhami Hotel in the Bus Park area of ​​Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4. Over the past few days, Thapa repeatedly visited the hotel, introduced himself as an ASI deployed from the bureau, and demanded money.


Police have taken Thapa into custody at the District Police Office Kailali and launched further investigation into the case.
