KATHMANDU, Feb 4 : Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, is staging protests across the country against the government's recent decisions.
Taking strong objection to the recently-endorsed National Medical Education Bill by force amid its protest in the parliament, the NC is launching protest against the government in various parts of the country including the capital.
The NC has argued that the bill failed to honor the agreements reached in the past with senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Gobinda KC who ended his 16th fast-unto-death last week.

The NC has denounced the government move to endorse the Bill with force, undermining the voice of main opposition party in the parliament.
The party has been protesting the government's decision to ultimately ‘scrap’ GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center in Tanahu and Sushil Koirala Prakhar Cancer Hospital (Banke) and its move to bypass opposition party in Constitutional Council meeting despite the fact that it is constitutionally mandatory to have presence of the main opposition party in its meeting.
The NC has also expressed deep concern over growing instances of violence, murder, and rape and the unresolved case of rape and murder of a teenager Nirmala Pant.
Growing price hike of daily essentials, increasing corruptions and other anti-people decisions and district based agenda are also other issues raised by the NC during the mass rally to be organized in the headquarters of all 77 districts.
