RAUTAHAT, Dec 11: The four-month-long protests in Madhes district have been losing momentum as most if the protestors are disappointed by the recent political activities.

The normal life in the Tarai district has been crippled as they have been reeling under protests for last four months and blockade for the 80 day on Friday.

Protestors and local Madhesi leaders are waiting for a political breakthrough and favorable environment.

Protestors staging protest at Miteri Pul of Rauxual border, Birgunj, Baraniya border, Gaur and Malangawa-Sonbarsa border have expressed dissatisfaction over the protests.

They have vented their anger against the government for not being serious on Madhesi demands.

Most of the protestors have removed their tents from the border as months-long protests have not bore any fruits.

DSP Ramesh Khadka of District Police Office Sarlahi said that the protestors have removed their tents at Malangawa-Sonbarsa border and let vehicles run. "The protestors have removed their tents themselves," Khadka said.

"The number of protestors has been abruptly decreased since last few days," District member of Sadhbhawan Party Sanjay Sah said. Sah had been staging sit-in since the day one of the protests.
