KATHMANDU: Former General Secretary of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal Monday announced that he would not join the high-level political committee formed with a view to provide guidelines to the CPN (Maoist)-led coalition government. Nepal was proposed as coordinator of the committee, which was formed last week comprising senior representatives from all the ruling political parties. “I will not be a part of the committee as there are no other top leaders,” Nepal told reporters at Sahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Bansbari Monday morning after visiting former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala who has been admitted there for treatment. Nepal said that the present formation of the political committee indicates that it is becoming just a forum for gossip. Nepal said that he might join the team if both the prime minister and the deputy prime minister become members of the committee.
