LWF Nepal provides blankets to 378 families

Kathmandu, Feb 8: The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Nepal, an international development and humanitarian NGO and a member of ACT Alliance, distributed blankets to 809 earthquake-affected families of Nanglebhare village development committee (VDC) in Kathmandu district on Monday.

LWF Nepal with the support of International Organization for Migration (IOM) distributed 2 blankets each family through the Disaster Management Committees of the VDC. 378 households from ward numbers 1 to 5 of the then Nanglebhare VDC received the blankets.Dr Prabin Manandhar, Country Director of LWF Nepal, said, "We have provided blankets to the most-affected families of the VDC in Kathmandu, one of the worst-hit districts."

The organization has been working in Rasuwa, Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Kathmandu, Lalitpurand Bhaktapur districts,linking relief and rehabilitation with development. LWF Nepal has provided relief to 22,000families including those of Makawanpur and Kavre districts.
