KATHMANDU, March 30: Despite being two and a half months since they entered India, LPG gas bullets belonging to Nepali gas entrepreneurs are still empty waiting for their turn to be filled with gas since Explosive Department(ED) of India is delaying the process of verifying the explosive safety of bullets.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Refinery loads gas into gas bullets only after the verification of their explosive safety.
India denies Nepali gas bullets to transport cooking gas
“We have requested the ED for verification of the explosive safety after completing all paper works”, said Chairman of Association of Nepali LP Gas Entrepreneur Shiva Ghimire . But , according to him, the ED has been indifferent to their request due to the pressure from Indian gas entrepreneurs on the ED.
Nepali tankers used to import gas through the same legal process involved in verifying the explosive safety.
