‘Look forward, not back’ PM Oli says as he reechoes economic prosperity

KATHMANDU, April 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was conferred the guard of honor at the Presidential house in New Delhi, India.  Upon receiving the guard of honor, the prime minister shared that “friendship was most important and there would be no compromises with friends.”

KATHMANDU, April 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was conferred the guard of honor at the Presidential house in New Delhi, India.  Upon receiving the guard of honor, the prime minister shared that “friendship was most important and there would be no compromises with friends.”


He added that any treaty or agreement started with friendship that is in line with changing time. He added that his visit was crucial as he shouldered aspirations from the people of Nepal to alleviate poverty and improve life standard of Nepali.

“I shoulder responsibilities of my people,” he said as he reechoed economic prosperity of Nepal in years ahead. Yesterday, Oli had urged Indian businesspersons to invest in Nepal as it was still a virgin land for development and investment. “I would like to thank private sector and businesspersons for their contribution,” he added.


Referring to the past dissatisfaction of India over the constitution and a blockade that it has consistently denied, Oli argued that “times had changed and we must develop and strengthen friendship between the two countries and its people. We must look at future, not the past,” he said.


“I would like to thank the government of India for the Guard of Honor as we renew our historical friendship in a fruitful way by looking forward, not back.”
