Police restored to indiscriminate baton charge and lobbed some cells of tear gas to disperse the crowd gathered to organize a chakkajam in Dumre, demanding the resumption of power supply disrupted for the past 12 days, said a local Raj Kumar Shrestha. Around a dozen locals were also injured during the police force, he said.
Over 1,000 Bandipur folks reached the site for chakkajam on Friday afternoon. The vehicles bound for Dumre-Bandipur route also remained out off road, expressing solidarity to the banda.
