Breaking the stereotype of a typical ‘Nepali Beauty’ and becoming the first Miss Nepal from the Marwari community, Nikita has been successful in charming many Nepalis hearts.
She was a brilliant student with outstanding grades in her school. Hence, her parents wanted her to study medicine. Nikita Chandak, however, constructed a different path for herself. Her struggle of leaving her family business to entering the fashion industry was not smooth. Yet she embarked on a journey that she prized and never stopped chasing her dreams.
Nikita appeared for her S.L.C exams from Pashupati Boarding School at Urlabari, Morang. Convincing her parents to allow her to pursue Fashion Designing was not easy. She was choosing a path that defied her family norms. She graduated from JD Institute of Fashion Technology in Bangalore. That was the beginning of her modeling career.
Careful in life
Nikita came to Kathmandu for the first time to participate in Nepal Fashion Week last year. She then got to know about The Hidden Treasure, Miss Nepal and decided to participate in it. Amidst numerous debates and discussions about the beauty pageant and her identity, we now know her as the Miss Nepal, 2017.

Nikita comes across as a confident and an intellectual young woman and has recently been able to make space for herself in the headlines of many newspapers as well.
Owning the crown of one of the most popular beauty contests in Nepal, Nikita feels an onus on her to influence the youth to work for the social welfare of the country. Nikita also wants to perform exceedingly well at the Miss World 2017 beauty pageant where she will be representing Nepal.
