Lightening damages temple at Swoyambhu

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The Pratapur Temple located on the Swoyambhunath premises was partially damaged following the lightening strike early this morning.



Local Ramesh Maharjan said that lightening damaged some top parts of the temple in the UNESCO world heritage site.



This is the first ever incident of lightening in the world heritage, informed Maharjan. The 57-year-old Maharjan said anything accident in the temple is considered as the bad omen.



The temple was built during the regime of Pratap Malla for the security of the main priest.
