The ‘maha mela’ has many attractions and many of them are of interest of the youth. The event features Inter College Quiz Contest, water festival, helicopter tours, body builders competition, rock concerts, kennel show alongside cosmetics trial studio, art exhibition and tattoo art festival.[break]
“We organized this expo keeping in mind the festival season. We have stalls for almost everything and many attractions for the youngsters, where they can have a fun time,” said Anup Prakash, Director, Corporate Events at Himalmedia.
The expo has more than 150 commercial stalls and stalls displaying culture and communities of Nepal. The art exhibition put by members of Art Studio, Tripureshwor has paintings by art students of Kathmandu University, Srijana College of Fine Arts and Lalit Kala Campus on display.

The exhibited paintings were for sale from Rs 50 to Rs 5, 000 with face painting, live portrait making, live molding (face/ hand) and live art demonstration.
Founder Member of Art Studio, Sheelasha Rajbhandari, said, “The paintings are by the members of Art Studio - Santosh Rai, Raj Kumar Khaling, Kunti, Pramila, Hitara and Bhufan Limbu. We have 1000 art works for sale at this expo.”
The expo is to conclude on October 16 and artists like Jindabaad, X-mantra, Sabin Rai and The Muahiden, Cobweb, Abatross, Mt 8848 and Raju Lama are scheduled to perform on the final day of the expo. The concert is scheduled to begin at 3pm.
Tickets are available at the door for R. 50 for general visitors and Rs 30 for students. Concert is free for visitors of the expo.
