LifeCom launches Lenovo smartphones

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Lenovo has introduced its smartphones in Nepal through a new dealership.

LifeCom Pvt Ltd -- the authorized distributor of Lenovo mobile devices for Nepal -- launched four new budget smartphones from Lenovo namely A319, A328, Ah36 and A5000 in the Nepali market on Tuesday.Speaking at the launching ceremony, Rohit Khatter, national distribution manager of Lenovo Smartphones, India, said,""Nepal's smartphone market is estimated to be around 1.2 million units per year. With the launch of Lenovo in Nepal, we hope to meet expectation of the growing Nepali consumers"" Khatter also said Lenovo will be available through 700 outlets nationwide within the next three months and 1,000 outlets within the next six months""

He also said the company targets to capture 10 percent share in Nepal's smartphone market within a year.

Likewise, Amit Agrawal, managing director of LifeCom, said Lenovo smartphones will help to establish Lenovo as a strong brand in Nepal.

According to LifeCom, the newly launched Lenovo phones will cost between Rs 9,000 and Rs 17,500.

Lenovo smartphones will start distribution from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Hetauda, Butwal, Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Birtamod and Dhangadi, the company said in a statement.
