Leaders defy CA chair's call, visit districts

BIRGUNJ, March 16: Ignoring the call by the Constituent Assembly (CA) chairman to political leaders and ministers not to leave the capital for giving time for constitution-writing, political leaders and senior ministers visited Parsa to attend their party functions.



Five ministers including Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, senior leaders including Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai and some CA members visited the district to attend political functions.



Gachchhadar addressed a mass meeting in Sarlahi on Tuesday and is scheduled to inaugurate party office in Nijgadh on Wednesday.



Similarly, Maoist leader Bhattarai also visited the district to impart training to YCL members.



On the same day, CPN-ML leader CP Mainali and Land Reforms Minister Dambar Shrestha were also in the district on party business.



Besides Gachchhadar, Ministers Karima Begum, Sanjaya Sah, Kalawati Paswan and other CA members representing Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) arrived in the district for party programs.
