Lawmaker Bhandari's house put on fire

MAHATTARI, Sept 21: A group comprising some unidentified persons set ablaze the house of lawmaker from Mahottari constituency no 6, Sitaram Bhandari, immediately after the promulgation of a new constitution.

The unknown persons who were in motorbikes had put the ancestral house of lawmaker Bhandari on fire at Bharatpur at around 8.00 pm on Sunday.Dinesh Mahato, a local, informed that the group sprayed petrol at the house before putting it into flame. Further damage to the house was prevented with the fire bringing under control, he added.

The Gaushala Area Police Office also confirmed that no physical and human loss was reported at the house when the neighbours managed to douse the fire on time.

Search for the persons involved in the incident is underway, said Police Inspector Machchhindra Babu KC. RSS
