KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The road section leading to Kathmandu through Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Fakhel has been closed due to landslides in Kaura of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-2 of Makwanpur. The section has been closed since Friday morning due to landslides triggered by rain.
According to the District Police Office, the locals, police, and technicians from the Road Division Office are working to remove the debris. Police have requested the vehicles coming from Kathmandu to Hetauda and from Hetauda via Fakhel to Kathmandu to use alternative routes.

Similarly, the Kanti Highway section, which was blocked by landslides, has not been operational. On Thursday night, the road was blocked by landslides at Ghattepakha, Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 of Makwanpur. Efforts are ongoing to remove the landslide debris, police added.
However, vehicular movement remains operational on the Tribhuvan Highway, as well as the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Dakshinkali section, and the East-West Highway connecting Hetauda to Kathmandu.
