Landslide claims 7 Nepalis in India

DARCHULA, Sept. 3: Seven Nepalese died and two were injured when they were buried Sunday in landslide in a place called Pangwa of Dar in Uttarakhanda, Dharchula of India, bordering Darchula district of Nepal.



They died on the spot while constructing road in the place. Those killed were Man Dhwoj Lohar, 43, Bishan Ram Bhul, 35, Shyam Bhul, 32, Santosh Lohar, 40, Rami Lohar, 30, Birendra Ram Soni, 35, and Jhupiram Soni, 49, of Bishalpur of Baitadi district and those injured are Mansingh Lohar, 26, of Bishalpur -9 and Naresh Tiruwa of Sarmoli VDC- 8.



The bodies of all the Nepalese have been kept at the Primary Health Service Centre at Dharchula of India and preparations are being made to send them home, said Indian police. `The site is 50 kms from Dharchula, the bordering area of Khalanga of Darchula district.
