LAMAHI/DANG, Nov 25: A snakebite treatment center will be set up in Lamahi, Dang. The center will be run by Lamahi Hospital at the initiative of the Deukhuri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in coordination with various governmental and non-governmental sectors, said the CCI President Ratna Prasad Shrestha.
Snakebite cases on the rise in Itahari
For the establishment of the center, the Lamahi municipality has released Rs 2.5 million and over Rs 500 thousand has been collected from a fair organised by the CCI, Deukhuri, he said.
After the establishment of the center, the local people and people from neighboring cities would be unburdened of visiting as far as Banke and Gorusinghe for the treatment of snakebite patients risking their lives. RSS
