His closest rival Harikrishna Byanjankar of CPN-UML has received only 7,961 votes. The number of votes of Byanjankar is increasing by a very small number as compared to that of Chiribabu.

Chiribabu, who won the last local election in 2074 BS by a narrow margin, is still battling with the same candidate. Even now, Byanjankar seems to be lagging far behind in terms of the number of votes. He has been behind since the counting began.

Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s (RPP) Asta Bahadur Maharjan is in the third position. He received only 120 votes.
