KATHMANDU, July 27: Nepal Police have been provided five more days to carry out investigation against the accused of Lalita Niwas land grab scam.
All 22 convicts were presented before the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday.

The Kathmandu District Court permitted the police to keep all 22 arrestees in police custody for further investigations, said Senior Superintendent of Police at the Crime Investigation Bureau, Dinesh Acharya.
Recording of the statements of the arrested persons is currently underway. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has been carrying out investigations into the case for the past one month.
A total of 22 people, including former election commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, owner of Bhatbhateni Super Market, Min Bahadur Gurung, former government employee, Dharma Prasad Gautam were apprehended on the charge of their involvement in Lalita Niwas land grab scam.
