KMC to expand workforce, establish own TV channel

KATHMANDU, June 25: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has announced plans to expand its workforce by recruiting an additional 300 road sweepers in the upcoming fiscal year. KMC also intends to expand the number of metropolitan police personnel by reaching a target of a total of 500 police personnel.

KATHMANDU, June 25: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has announced plans to expand its workforce by recruiting an additional 300 road sweepers in the upcoming fiscal year. KMC also intends to expand the number of metropolitan police personnel by reaching a target of a total of 500 police personnel.


During the budget presentation for the upcoming fiscal year, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol revealed that KMC will also be hiring 269 health workers, 151 metropolitan police constables, 51 office assistants, and 32 watchmen on contract. To facilitate this, KMC has allocated a budget of Rs 300 million.

Similarly, KMC has also unveiled plans to establish its own television channel. Deputy Mayor Dangol announced that the metropolis has allocated a budget of Rs 50 million for the installation of the television channel.
