Police arrest KMC employee on charge of rape

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Police have arrested an employee at the Kathmandu Metropolitan City on the charge of raping an 11-year-old girl.

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Police have arrested an employee at the Kathmandu Metropolitan City on the charge of raping an 11-year-old girl.



Acting on a complaint lodged by the victim's parents, the Metropolitan Crime Division arrested Baburaja Pujari, 52, from Anamnagar on Monday.

Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Crime Division Hobindra Bogati told Republica Online that they have launched an investigation into the incident. Kathmandu District Court has remanded him into custody for seven days.


Based on a medical report, it was confirmed that the girl was raped.
