The KMC has been monitoring the use and storage of plastic flowers and foreign flowers since October 30. During the inspection, foreign flower garlands were seized from a cargo vehicle with the license plate Na 4 Kha 3168 in Koteshwor, Pandey reported. To facilitate flower traders, the KMC has designated 46 locations for the free sale of domestic flowers.
The KMC has provided free space for farmers at malls, marts, parks, party palaces, and business centers for four days, from October 30 to November 2, on the occasion of Dipawali, Nepal Sambat, and the Chhath festival.
The KMC started providing sales locations for domestic flowers to farmers last year. To facilitate farmers, designated sales spots have been established in various locations.
