KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has honored Para Taekwondo athlete Palesha Goverdhan with a cash prize for her historic achievement in Paralympics 2024 in Paris.
Mayor Balendra Shah and Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol honored Taekwondo player Palesha Goverdhan with a cash prize of Rs 500,000 on Wednesday.

Similarly, the KMC honored Coach Kabiraj Negi with a cash prize of Rs 300,000.
Palesha Goverdhan Shrestha, the bronze medalist of the 17th Paralympics held in Paris, France, returned home on Wednesday.
The National Sports Council (NSC) conducted the city tour to welcome and honor Goverdhan’s arrival in Nepal this morning.
