Kathmandu Valley to get some respite from heat later this evening

KATHMANDU, June 15:  The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said the Kathmandu Valley will get some respite from the rising temperature later this evening. The temperature declined slightly today.

KATHMANDU, June 15:  The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said the Kathmandu Valley will get some respite from the rising temperature later this evening. The temperature declined slightly today.


Meteorologist Saroj Pudashaini shared that the Kathmandu Valley is witnessing the general impact of monsoon, causing light rainfall in the afternoon. The coming night is predicted to have thunderstorms.

Although the monsoon is spreading towards the west from the east, it should be considered only as a pre-monsoon phase, according to him.


The weather will be cool later this afternoon compared to the last day, Pudashaini said, adding that the maximum temperature is predicted to stay from 29 to 31.c today, while it was 33.4.c on Friday.
