KATHMANDU, June 2: CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Jeevan Ram Shrestha has said that Kathmandu should be made a livable capital.
In a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, he said that the people of Kathmandu should be the prime minister and important ministers.

He also said that the government has not been able to focus on building the capital. Shrestha stressed the need to make Kathmandu a capital for living, sightseeing and walking around.
He also stressed the need for moving ahead with development plans to maintain the originality of a cultural city like Kathmandu. Shrestha also urged the government to move ahead with a rapid transit bus system in Kathmandu.
