Kathmandu-bound 150 cargo trucks stranded at Kerung over heavy snowfall

RASUWA, Jan 23: The transportation between Nepal-China border Kerung to Kathmandu has been blocked due to heavy snowfall that occurred in Kerung on Tuesday night.

RASUWA, Jan 23: The transportation between Nepal-China border Kerung to Kathmandu has been blocked due to heavy snowfall that occurred in Kerung on Tuesday night.


Cargo trucks heading to Kathmandu from China have been stranded in Kerung due to snowfall.

 “Snowfall started since last night. The transportation has been halted in Kerung after it received about three-foot snow, leaving over 150 sealed cargo trucks stranded,” said Purusottam Shrestha.


He further said that those cargo trucks heading to China from Nepal have also been stranded at the China border.


Normal life in Rasuwa has been hit due to heavy snowfall. Langtang, Gatlang, Thuman, Syafu and Dhunche have witnessed heavy snowfall.
