Kaspersky antivirus, internet security launched

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Kaspersky Lab has launched Kaspersky Antivirus 2014 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 in the Nepali market. Jagannath Patnaik, channels director for South Asia region from Kaspersky Lab, launched the products amid a program organized by Sagar Software and Traders here on Friday.



According to the company, this latest version of Antivirus saves computers from all sorts of technical threats and viruses. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Basudev Lakhe, managing director of Sagar Group, said the new version has given continuity to all the features of previous version and also incorporated some new features. The new version of Kaspersky antivirus comes with a new feature called ZETA Shield. According to the company ZETA Shield feature scans the data stream for code fragments characteristics of exploits built into legitimate files. The new feature conducts more in-depth analysis of incoming data in the computer and identifies non-standard elements and the connection between them.



Other features of the new version edition of Kaspersky include fast startup, GUI speed, low resource consumption and parental control improvement.

Addressing the program, Patnaik said “We consider Nepal as one of our best market. There are so many IT threats going on in Nepal along with entire South Asia. I believe that the new version will help prevent them all.”
