SURKHET, Nov 30: Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has moved the schedule for the vote of confidence a day later.
As the lawmakers of the main opposition party CPN-UML are in Chitwan for the National General Convention, the schedule for the vote of confidence has been postponed by a day. "As the lawmakers of the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, are in Chitwan for the party’s national general convention, the chief minister has decided to take a vote of confidence a day later," said Nepali Congress MP Him Bahadur Shahi. “The CM will take a confidence vote on Wednesday.”

A meeting of the provincial parliament had been called for 1 PM on Tuesday where Chief Minister Shahi was supposed to seek a vote of confidence.
He said that the plan to take the vote of confidence was postponed for Wednesday as the opposition party could not attend the provincial meeting on Tuesday. There is no provision in the constitution that the main opposition party must be present during the vote of confidence.
