PANCHTHAR, Jan 6: Karna Singh Sonam Memorial Club of Taplejung has reached the final of the ongoing Eighth Falgunanda Gold Cup Football Tournament, registering a 1-0 victory over Eleven Arrows of Sunsari on Friday.

Peter Segun's only goal of the match was sufficient for Karna Singh Sonam Memorial Club to fix the summit clash against Birtamode Youth Club of Jhapa.

Peter Segun netted the decisive goal in the 30th minute for Karna Singh in the second semifinal match of the tournament played in Phidim. The African recruit collected the ball parried by Eleven Arrow's goalkeeper Purna Chemjong before smashing it in the opponent's net.

The match between the two sides studded with domestic star players was very competitive. However, they created just a handful of scoring chances.

The final match between Karna Singh and Birtamode Youth Club will be played on Sunday.
