Karbonn launching new Android phones, tablet PCs

Pashupati Trade Link, the authorized distributor of Karbonn phones in Nepal, is launching two smartphones and a tablet PC at the Midas CAN Info-Tech 2013.



The company is launching Karbonn A2 and A21 smartphones and Karbonn Smart Tab 2. According to the company, Karbonn A2 is a dual-SIM phone featuring 4-inch capacitive touch screen and using Android v2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system. [break]It is powered by 1GHz processor and supports expandable memory up to 32 GB.



Besides, the phone has various features like 3 mega pixels rear camera, front camera for video calling, G sensor, Proximity sensor and some embedded apps.



The Karbonn A2 has 1750 mAh battery and supports EDGE and Wi-Fi connectivity.



Bhupal Chhetri, manger of Pashupati Trade Link, said the phone will be available at Rs 8,999.



Similarly, Karbonn A21 is also a dual-SIM phone featuring 4.5-inch high resolution qHD screen. It uses Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich operating system and 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor and supports expandable memory of up to 32 GB.



The phone has 5 mega pixels auto focus rear camera with LED flash and face detection and 1.3 mega pixels front camera. It uses 1800 mAh battery and supports 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. Other features in the phone are G sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor. The phone is priced at Rs 19,008.



Officials of Pashupati Trade Link say Karbonn Smart Tab 2 will be one of the major attractions at the Info-Tech.



The 7-inch tablet uses Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 1.2 GHz X burst processor and hard glass screen with 5-point touch. It has 2 mega pixels front camera for video calling.



The Smart Tab 2 supports full HD video playback up to 1080p and has 3G sensors for gaming. It supports Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity (through USB dongles).



According to Chhetri, tablet comes with a strong battery of 3700 mAh which allows the users to surf Internet up to 7 hours, watch videos for up to 8 hours and listen music on earphones for up to 25 hours. The tablet is available at Rs 11,999.



“We will be providing 8 to 10 percent discount on Karbonn phones and tablets at the Info-Tech,” said Chhetri.
