KATHMANDU, May 12: Kami Rita Sherpa broke his own record by scaling Mount Everest for an unmatched 29th time.

Seven Summit Treks announced Sherpa’s ascent, marking the occasion at 7:25 AM on Sunday.

Hailing from the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality in Thame, Solukhumbu, the 54-year-old mountaineer has surpassed his previous milestone, reaching a new peak in mountain climbing.

With this remarkable achievement, Sherpa solidifies his position as the most seasoned climber of Mount Everest.

Last year, Pasang Dawa Sherpa of Solukhumbu completed 27 climbs, but remains uncertain about attempting Everest this season.
