She still recognises her relatives by sight and lives a healthy life. Her family members say Bhakta Kumari never feels that she is 107 years old. "My mother can hear, see and talk clearly and thinks she is still young," says Durga Devi.
Sometimes she stays with her son Guru Prasad Pokharel in Jhapa and at times with her daughter in Kathmandu. As of now the bloodline of the mother of six sons and three daughters has extended to 150 persons.
According to Bhakta Kumari´s family members, many people meet her to receive blessings.
