Jha stresses on Madheshi alliance

KATHMANDU June 11: Chairman of Sanghiya Sadbhavana Party Anil Kumar Jha on Tuesday stressed the need for a broader alliance between Madhes based parties so that the rights of the Madhesi community can be institutionalized. [break]



Addressing a gathering at Jaleshwar, Mahottari, Jha said Madhesh based political parties should unite for the progress and prosperity of the Madhes region and that only a broader alliance of the Madhes based parties can effectively address the concerns of the people living in the Tarai. He also termed the proposed eligibility threshold for proportional seats an attempt to derail the election process.
