KATHMANDU, July 19: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka has extended his sincere congratulations to the newly-appointed PM of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Ambassador Yutaka also extended his best wishes for the successful tenure of PM Deuba with the successful vote of confidence at parliament on Sunday, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Japan.
Ambassador also noted that Nepal and Japan have been enjoying excellent bilateral relations based on the long history of mutual friendship and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1956.

Similarly, Ambassador Kikuta also maintained that Japan and Nepal will be able to overcome this COVID-19 pandemic together.
Japan has already announced a grant of 1.6 million doses of Japanese-made COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine for Nepal through the COVAX facility.
Meanwhile, Pakistani and Indian PMs have also congratulated PM Deuba on successfully winning a vote of confidence.
PM Deuba will now remain PM of Nepal for one and a half years until the general election.
