KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Minister for Irrigation, Deepak Giri has suffered cardiac arrest.
He was rushed to the Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital and was admitted at the emergency room after suffering a heart attack at around 2 am on Thursday.
Damage to irrigation amounts to Rs 2.42 billion
The hospital source told Republica Online that a stent was transplanted in his heart through angioplasty, a surgical repair or unblocking of a blood vessel, after it was found that an artery of his heart was blocked to some 90 percent.
He was shifted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) this morning and was later to room number 204.
A team of doctors led by Dr Yadavdev Bhatta is attending to the leader. He is said to be out of danger.
