KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) shed a nominal of 2.09 points last week after the market opened for transaction following Tihar.
The market opened at 2,677.62 points and shed 0.21 points on Tuesday. Likewise, the secondary market declined by 1.88 points to close at 2,675.51 points on Wednesday. In two-day transactions in the review period, the market went as high as 2,696.85 points and as low as 2,670.51 points, posting the volatility of 26.34 points.
Nepse hits 2-year high after week's broad surge
Compared to the daily turnover of Rs 4.20 billion on the first day, the amount rose to Rs 5.22 billion on the second day transaction. The total turnover amount was recorded at Rs 9.42 billion.
The market capitalization declined to Rs 4.259 trillion from Rs 4.260 trillion in the previous week. In the review period, the investors lost Rs 1 billion in their stocks portfolio.
