As a longstanding partner of Nepal, the Danish nation has been deeply touched by the tragedy and urgent humanitarian needs of the Nepali people. The main focus of the Danish aid is to provide tents and shelters, medicine, food, water and sanitation to some of the most remote and most affected villages such as the Gorka and Dhading districts.
The aid is provided in corporation with UNICEF, World Food Programme and Danish NGO's.
In addition, the Danish Emergency Management Agency is providing logistical support to the UN Coordination and Communication Centre in some of the most affected areas of the Kathmandu valley.
