Industrial village to be established in Jumla’s Tatopani-4

JUMLA, Feb 20: An industrial village is going to be established in Tatopani Rural Municipality-4 of Jumla district.


Chairperson of the rural municipality, Nanda Prasad Chaulagain said the industrial village is to be established with the objective of providing employment to youths and making them self-dependent.


The industrial village would help create employment, livelihood and poverty alleviation by utilizing local resources.

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies had on August 26, 2022 issued a public notice for the establishment of the industrial village.


Chairperson of Tatopani Rural Municipality-4, Amar Rokaya, shared that the rural municipal executive had selected ward no 4 and recommended to the ministry for the establishment of the industrial village.


A cabinet meeting held on February 16 took the decision to establish the industrial village on public land located at Ratekhola of ward no 4.


Chair Rokaya opined that the industrial village would help create employment for locals by mobilizing local resources, raw materials and skill.


The federal government has set a target to bring an industrial village into operation in every local unit.
