CHITWAN, March 21: The Indo-Nepal T20 Championship is kicking off in Bharatpur today. A total of six teams including two from India will be competing in the event to take place at the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Ground.

According to the organizers, Bharatpur XI and Bagmati are competing in today's match. The competition is hosted by the Chitwan District Cricket Association. It is said three provincial teams: Bagmati, Sudurpaschim and Madhesh and Bharatpur 11 and two from India: Talatala Institute Kolkata and PSR Group Lucknow are vying for the title of the Championship to be held under a single round-robin format.
According to Association Secretary Suraj Gyawali, the event aims to promote the Bharatpur Visit Year-2024 and deepen the Nepal-India relations in the cricket sphere as well. Under the tournament, a total of 18 matches will be held.
