KANCHANPUR, Nov 13: Indian citizens have been farming on three bighas of Nepali land at Munsitol close to the Border Marker Number 17 at Kanchanbhoj in Dodhara Chandani Municipality-7 for long.

Nepalis at Kanchanbhoj say that they have not been able to openly protest the Indians' encroachment of Nepali land as they have to visit the Indian market Melaghat frequently for buying essential supplies and doing so would offend the Indian border security guards and customs officials who might prevent them from crossing the border.

Kishor Kumar Limbu, chairman of the CPN (UML) Dodhara Chandani Village Committee , said that on field inspection it has been found that Indians have encroached upon three bighas of land including the no-man's land at the place.

According to locals, the Indians have been cultivating paddy and sugarcane on the land. RSS
