TANSEN, March 23: An Indian youth, Shivam Pandey, 25, from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, who had been missing for five days, was found dead in the Kali Gandaki River on Sunday. He went missing while swimming in the river at Ramdi, Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-5 in Palpa.
Spokesperson for the District Police Office, Palpa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sunil Malla said that Pandey went missing while swimming on Wednesday afternoon. His body was found nearly one kilometer downstream from the Ramdi Ghaat.

Pandey, along with three others, had gone to swim in the Kali Gandaki River while returning home from a trip to Pokhara. During this time, Pandey drowned and went missing, DSP Malla added.
The body has been sent to the Palpa District Hospital. Police have initiated further investigation into the incident.
