Sourabhee Debbarma, the first woman to win the title, first and second runners-up Kapil Thapa and Torsha Sarkar will be coming to Kathmandu next Friday to perform in the musical concerts, said the Kathmandu-based event management company DMI. The company represents Sony in Nepal.
The DMI chief Raju Singh told the TNN that the first concert will be at the Jawalakhel ground in front of the national zoo and the second concert is at the Exhibition Grounds in Pokhara.
Nepali pop star Kranti Ale would be singing with the Indian Idol trio, TNN said.
"This time, there was a lot of support for Sourabhee in Nepal," Singh said. "Because of her oriental looks, she was not regarded as a foreigner by Nepal. However, she won support mostly due to her talent."
